Coming Home!!

Hi All.. this is Sarah. I saw my aunt Cristal thoughtfully wrote a blog today, but I thought I would fill you in on some more news. :) WE ARE COMING HOME TOMORROW!!
All of us here are excited and anxious to get back home. We are tired of eating hospital food, living out of a hotel, sleeping in uncomfortable hospital chairs, and I am personally tired of it being so cold!! :) I shiver everywhere I go!
This last week has been a long one for my family. One filled with tears. One filled with frustrations. And worries. But strangely through all of that we have laughed a lot! I'm not going to lie when my brothers are doped up on morphine and pain killers they say some of the funniest things! :) But they have also said vulnerable things, showing their fears and frustrations. Showing their pain. One of the first days Sam was awake and alert, he asked my dad if he was going to die? And Schuyler continually asks us if he will ever be the same and when he will ever get out of here? Sometimes those questions are hard to answer. A lot of times they bring tears. When my mom first told Sam that he was in a car wreck, he hit her! He was not going to accept that. :) But both have said sweet things. Things they would have never said otherwise. Schuyler, everyday tells us he loves us. And one of the first nights we were here he confessed to Shane that he "just needed Jesus"! He knows now. He knows all he needs! Our Lord and Savior is his only comfort, He is the only one that can break through the pain, and the drugs..haha..and give him the peace he needs.
Today I was talking to a lady that has a baby next to Schuyler's room, and I we were just chatting and talking about why we are here and all that, and at one point I told her that despite everything, I was just so happy and thankful that my brothers are alive. The peace of God swept over my soul in that moment.. all the other frustrations and burdens seemed to melt in those words. My family is thankful for the gift of life, and for everything that everyone has done for us! We are humbled by your kindness. Thank you for being Jesus to us. :)
So we head home tomorrow.. PRAISE GOD!! But we also ask as one last favor to all.. that you try to keep visits to a minimum. Schuyler and Sam both struggle and sometimes they feel uncomfortable, and we don't want to wear them out at all. But to the Robinson family.. Schuyler really wants to see Tom. He told Seth today. :) I think that will be healing for Tommie and Schuyler.
God Bless and see you in Illinois!
-Sarah

PS- on a funny note.. Sam is as awnry as ever, and continually enjoys torturing the nurses! He hasn't changed a bit, and he is still ready and willing to talk about sports till the cows come home. So if anyone wants to talk sports?.. He's your man. :)

Thank you for your post, Sarah.
We are reading every day to see the progress.

We are rejoicing with your family in God's goodness and that you get to come home today. When we look back a week ago.........what a difference. God is good.

We look forward to the day when you announce the boys are going home and are done with hospitals.

hugs!

Hi Sarah,
I want you to know that I'm praying for your family. Its so good to hear that you are coming home. I can't even imagine how hard it's been this past week for everyone. You might not remember me but I was around your family quite a bit in the summer times way back when Schuyler was playing baseball with my little brother. You all have always been so great. I check this page every day numerous times just to read over and over what has been written. It really is a blessing. Please say hello to your family. God Bless you all. Heather Smith(Sawyer)

Words can't express the pain I feel for your family at this time. Everyday I pray for the healing of Schuyler and Sam. I pray for them to be comfortable, without pain, and to have peace as they heal. I also pray, that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, continues to give Karin and Gaylin the strength they need to take care of the boys.

Sarah, thank you so much for your posts. I read them everyday and sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I have cried and I have laughed with you in them. Please tell your mother and father Happy Anniversary for me and that I will continue to pray for your family.

Have a safe trip home.

Sarah, I'm glad to hear that everybody is getting back to Champaign. I know that will be a lot easier on everyone. I'm really glad that the boys are doing better. My family has been praying for your family everyday. God is good to those who come to Him. If there is anything I can do for you or your family, please dont hesitate to ask.

Sarah,

You are loved by the McLeishes over here in Indiana.

God bless you all, and may healing come sooner than anything imagined.
